Togo and Kazakhstan have recently embarked on an ambitious collaboration aimed at boosting digital transformation in the West African country. This new era of partnership was officially sealed by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Cina Lawson, Togo's Minister of Digital Economy, and Bagdat Mussin, Kazakhstan's Minister of Digital Development, during the sixth edition of "Digital Almaty" held from February 1st to 3rd, 2024.

Minister Lawson seized the opportunity to highlight the progress made by Togo in the digital domain, showcasing initiatives such as Novissi, which demonstrates the country's ability to harness artificial intelligence, as well as the E-id project aimed at biometric identification of the Togolese population. She also highlighted Togo's leadership position in cybersecurity in the West African sub-region.
