The Algerian Minister of industry, Ferhat Ait Ali Braham, inaugurated the 24th of September, a fab lab in Alger. The laboratory is based on the EPE ALRIM SPA headquarter, a subsidiary of the company IMETAL, specialized in creating metal equipment and infrastructure. With 760m², the fab lab will host training, working stations, computers, display, and reprography equipment to allow young entrepreneurs to develop innovative products. The fab lab covers the different steps of product creation from the conception to the realization and the manufacturing. It aims to create "a real wealth based on innovative projects," the minister highlighted.

There are equipment and expertise here. Now it is a matter of creating synergy and even direct partnership, contract, to integrate and create complementarity between the subscribers of the process.
Young entrepreneurs will benefit from ALRIM assistance. The company will provide the laboratory equipment to develop startup' projects in every domain linked to metallurgy, construction, and project management. "There are equipment and expertise here. Now it is a matter of creating synergy and even direct partnership, contract, to integrate and create complementarity between the subscribers of the process", the Minister said.
Launch of the Algerian startup fund
On another note, the Algerian minister in charge of digital and startups announced the 3rd of October the "Algerian startup fund" launch. According to the minister, it is innovative because it "is based on capital investment and not on a classic mechanism based on credit."
For the minister, the aim is to create pioneer startups able to commercialize products globally and allow young innovators to get the same funding mechanism as developed countries do, to concretize their project in Algeria.
